F-500 is a Micelle Encapsulator Fire Suppression Agent. F-500 is a multi-purpose agent used worldwide for various applications. The fire suppression mechanics and technology utilized by F-500 are vastly different than conventional foam. F-500 EA is the answer to many of today’s firefighting challenges. In a world where fires have become hotter and more difficult to extinguish, F-500 Encapsulator Agent’s unique capabilities meet those challenges. First, F-500 EA has a remarkable ability to cool a fire and surrounding structures, with the ability to absorb 6-10 times more heat energy than plain water. Instead of scalding steam, F-500 EA releases a warm vapor. Secondly, F-500 EA encapsulates fuels forming micelles or “chemical cocoons” that render the fuel nonflammable and nonignitable. Finally, F-500 EA interrupts the free radical chain reaction. Free radicals are unburned gases produced during the combustion process that turn into smoke and soot. Inhibiting the chain reaction results in less smoke and toxins and increases visibility.
Very effective and will safe you money. F500EA meets the challenges of the world's fires which have become hotter and more difficult to extinguish.

Federal Fire Service, DPR, Certify F-500 Encapsulator Agent For Use In Nigeria
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Okama Infinity Nigeria Limited, Sir. Oghenekaro Jockey, said the product had secured the buy-in of major stakeholders in the country.
According to Jockey, “We have had talks with almost every stakeholder in Nigeria as far as firefighting is concerned and I can assure you that by the time everyone knows about the power and effectiveness of F-500 Encapsulator Agent and begins to use it, the story of firefighting in the country will enter into a new phase.
“The wrenches caused by preventable losses of invaluable lives and property worth several billions of naira will be things of past in Nigeria. Having this firefighting technology in every home, establishment, institution, vehicle in Nigeria will help to save lives and property especially amid the current economic recession.”
Jockey disclosed that in a bid to facilitate usage of the F-500 Encapsulator Agent (EA) technology, some officials of the Federal Fore Service, Federal Ministry of Interior and FRSC were taken to the United States of America for training on and demonstration of the usage and effectiveness of the technology before
we got the approval for distribution.”
He lamented the fire incidents in Calabar and Ibadan at the weekend, which claimed many lives and property, stressing that the stories would have been different if the F-500 EA had been deployed for putting out the fire.
According to him, “F-500 EA is a revolutionary innovation in firefighting. It is a fire suppressant agent that works effectively to knockdown fire in the shortest possible time, sometimes in a matter of seconds depending on the volume of fire.
“It is a product in a class by itself because it is currently the only fire suppressant agent that can encapsulate hydrocarbon vapors rendering them non-flammable and non-ignitable.
“Besides, it is the only agent that can be used on different classes of fire effectively. It has been tested, used and proven time and again to always deliver the best results
“F-500 Encapsulator Agent’s engineered advantage is based on the high performance, three-dimensional firefighting capabilities of micelle encapsulation.
“It has three unique features that make it superior to other agents, to wit: the ability to rapidly cool down the temperature of a fire in seconds thereby providing permanent burn-back resistance; the ability to encapsulate the hydrocarbon molecules rendering them non-flammable and non-ignitable; and, the ability to interrupt the free radical coalescence thereby inhibiting the formation of toxic soot and smoke.”
We, at Okama Infinity Nigeria Limited, wish to bring to the notice of the general public the barefaced impersonation, fraudulent mixture and sale of our products: F-500 Encapsulator Agent and our Stainless-Steel Fire Extinguishers by some unscrupulous elements, who have flooded the market with the adulterated version of our company’s products.

The use of CAFS as a primary fire attack tool can not be over emphasized. It offers increased performance in fire suppression of post-flashover fire and possibly pre-flashover situations. It proposes that less water is needed to suppress a vast majority of fires and therefore primary water tanks, and fire engines, can become smaller, possibly needing less firefighters, where attacks on the fire can be made from a safer distance. Further still, the costs associated with training firefighters in primary fire attack may well reduce substantially.
A firefighting foam has to form a blanket to suffocate a fire. Forming a sustainable blanket on a three-dimensional fire is improbable, so NFPA 11-Annex A.1.1 concludes, “Foam is not suitable for three-dimensional flowing liquid fuel fires or for gas fires.” F-500 EA cools the fuel and surrounding structure. If you remove the heat, you remove the fire. At the same time, F-500 EA is encapsulating the fuel making it nonflammable.
This distillation column with gasoline shows how easily F-500 Encapsulator Agent can extinguish the fire by cooling the metal below the autoignition temperature and encapsulating the fuel. This is a three-dimensional, flowing liquid fuel fire. NFPA 11 Annex A.1.1 states that foam is not suitable for three-dimensional, flowing liquid fuel fires; but F-500 EA is suitable.

The unique ability of F-500 Encapsulator Agent to encapsulate and cool hydrocarbons is excellent for firefighting, and this have led to various other applications. One of these is tank degassing and cleaning. Since firefighting and cooling was not required, a more focused product was developed for this industry, HydroLock Encapsulator Agent. The HydroLock molecule is a large, amphipathic molecule with a polar head that is attracted to water, and a nonpolar tail that is attracted to hydrocarbons. Given the chance, the nonpolar tails will completely surround hydrocarbon molecules, forming micelles or protective “chemical cocoons.” For tank degassing, this is critical because an application of HydroLock and water rapidly reduces the LELs (lower explosive limit) to near zero. The vessel is perfectly safe for entry and hot work.
HydroLock will encapsulate any hydrocarbon including benzene, oils, jet fuel crude oil, kerosene, gasoline and neutralizes ethanol, so it is equally effective on ethanol-blended fuels, like E10 and E85. HydroLock has been successful on H2S (hydrogen sulfide), some acids and even prevents pyrophoric iron (iron sulfide scaling) from igniting as vessels are emptied. HydroLock is nontoxic, nonhazardous, non skin-sensitizing and 100% biodegradable.
HydroLock is the fastest and most economical way to prepare the vessel. HydroLock quickly reduces the concentration of vapors below the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) and breaks down residual sludge and wall build-up, providing quick access into the tank. The work can be completed and the team can move on the next project. An operation that used to take days can be accomplished in hours. For underground Storage Tanks (UST) a 3% solution of HydroLock and water will degas and clean a UST rapidly, reducing the concentration of vapors below the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) for quick entry. HydroLock can be sprayed on the vessel or circulated. It is excellent for cleaning or vessel decommissioning and can even be used for soil remediation, since it is an encapsulator agent. HydroLock facilitates and accelerates the bio-remediation process of naturally occurring microorganisms.
These videos show why water should never be applied to coal fires. Water stirs up the dust causing violent flare-ups. In a confined space, the flare-up can become an explosion. Notice, F-500 Encapsulator Agent can be safely applied to burning coal without dangerous flare-ups.

F-500 EA Extinguishes Naptha-Diesel Fire in 10 seconds-Parana Brazil
After a difficult storage tank fire in San Paulo, Brazil in April, 2015, authorities were not impressed with firefighting foam's performance. While researching new firefighting technologies, Parana, Brazil firefighters decided to test F-500 Encapsulator Agent. This naptha/diesel fuel fire was extinguished in less than ten seconds.
The new F-500 EA “Turbo Knockdown and Overhaul” (TKO) Nozzles carry F-500 Encapsulator Agent to deliver extreme knockdown power. The F-500 EA encapsulates the fuel, cools the fuel and surrounding structures and interrupts the free radical chain reaction. Any one of these three elements can extinguish a fire. Under the nozzle, is a 2 liter (.52 gallon) container that instantly educts a proportioned amount of F-500 EA into the water stream. The nozzles are available with flow rates of 75 liters per minute (20 gpm) or 130 liters per minute (35 gpm). The nozzles are adjustable for streaming or fog pattern and the proportioning rate can be easily changed. If more F-500 EA is needed, a new bottle can be quickly replaced. The hose connection is a standard 1 ½” NH-NST fitting.
Coal dust, especially PRB coal dust is very combustible and prone to spontaneous combustion the longer it is exposed to air and allowed to oxidize. The danger comes from small puffs or explosions that occur. If your facility is not free of coal dust, these minor explosions cause dust to fall from rafters, light fixtures and walls creating a second, much larger explosion. To mitigate the dust, plain water is often used, but if there is a hot spot, water will cause a flare-up that could cause harm to personnel or even a secondary explosion. Dust Wash will not cause burning coal to flare-up. In addition, tripper rooms and other areas of the plant often lack adequate drainage. Water used to clean the dust ends up in the silo. Too much water in the silo can lead to spontaneous combustion. A simple solution is to apply Dust Wash at 0.5% to 1% with a 2-3 gpm power washer. Dust Wash is a combination encapsulator agent to capture the coal dust and a foaming agent to lift the dust from the surface. Very little water will be used and the Dust Wash required will be minimal. A 55-gallon drum of Dust Wash should last about 30 hours of continuous cleaning.
The F-500 EA Fire Extinguisher can be used for hydrocarbon spill control. Instead of spreading absorbent, which becomes flammable after application, the F-500 EA solution will render the fuel nonflammable and non-ignitable. A single fire extinguisher could easily encapsulate a half-gallon fuel spill in minutes, perfect for small gas station spills. The F-500 EA Fire Extinguisher is available with three different nozzles; straight bore, water mist wand and 4A, which has four streams for better penetration and broader coverage. The stainless steel cylinder will provide many years of service and the F-500 EA will give you the extinguishing power needed for most incipient fires.
Hazard Control Technologies Pinnacle foams are high-quality firefighting agents offered at an economical price. Pinnacle is available in three formulations to cover a broad spectrum of firefighting challenges. All three foams are designed for the maximum penetration possible while providing a durable, thick foam. These high-performance foams offer fast knockdown and maintain a quality blanket. All Pinnacle foams are suitable for use in Type III nozzles, monitors, foam tubes, CAFS and fixed suppression systems, including HCT’s CCS Systems and can be used with fresh, brackish or salt water. Class A fires are the most common fires encountered by firefighters. In many cases, plain water is used, but economical, Pinnacle Class A foam makes water more effective. In areas where water is not available, Pinnacle Class A foam can make the difference by making the water on your truck stretch farther. Pinnacle Class A foam forms a thick, wet blanket that smothers, penetrates, clings and lasts. Pinnacle foam is noncorrosive and environmentally friendly.
This demonstration in Brampton, Ontario shows F-500 Encapsulator Agent being directly applied to burning magnesium, without violent explosions. F-500 EA surrounds and protects water drops from splitting into explosive hydrogen and oxygen. F-500 EA goes to work, quickly cooling the magnesium.
